We Didn’t Just “GO BIG” in 2018, We Went HUGE!

On every level, the 2018 Race Against Kids’ Cancer was a HUGE success!  In addition to a great week-end of vintage racing, Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing achieved some amazing results!  Here are just a few of the highlights from this year’s event:

  • Our biggest RAKC fundraiser yet! With the final numbers being tallied, RMVR raised just over $220,000 to fund pediatric cancer research. That’s 15% over last year, and 10% over this year’s goal, allowing us to surpass more than $1,000,000 raised to fund kids’ cancer research through The Morgan Adams Foundation!  A fantastic job by all who participated!
  • One of our largest field of cars, with 129 cars registered, including 45 Formula Fords!
  • Increased visibility for RMVR and RAKC, with participants from Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Illinois!
  • Largest number of RMVR fundraisers yet!  Forty-seven folks set up a fundraising page and raised money and/or donated to the cause, with ~500 individual donations!  And that doesn’t count those who donated at the track!
  • Eight Pro drivers (5 new to RMVR and the RAKC) gave up their weekend to join us for our Second Annual Schomp ProAm Challenge, with Team Paul Gerrard (The Stig) and Brent Kaufman taking the top spot on the Podium.  Everyone had a blast and wants to do it again next year!!
  • We were blessed to have several of our MAF Ambassadors and their families at our event and get a lunchtime “ticket to ride.” Seeing the smiles on their faces was heartwarming.  Thank You to all who gave lunchtime rides and helped us raise $6,500!!

What you are doing [with RAKC] is bigger than anything I've ever seen in the racing world. Robby Unser

These results are simply fantastic!  We don’t know how high we can go… but let’s find out in 2019!!
