Eryk

Eryk wishes to become a car designer in the future

Eryk was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1997 and is the youngest of three boys. Eryk came to Denver with his parents in March 2011 while his father worked on a yearlong research project at the USGS in Lakewood. Eryk’s father is a Professor of Geology at the University of Warsaw. In November 2011, three months before their planned return to Poland, Eryk became sick and was diagnosed with Leukemia. His three-year cancer treatment began immediately. Eryk successfully completed the treatment at the end of February 2015.

Eryk’s passion for drawing cars began at the age of five when he drew his first drawing. From that time, Eryk has continued his passion and improved his artistic capabilities, especially with sports cars. Even through Eryk’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, he has not been discouraged and continued his work.

His talent was recognized at the 2013 and 2014 Children’s Hospital Holiday Card Contest where he was awarded for his drawing of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He was also recognized by Rocky Mountain Harley Owners Group for his drawing. Eryk was given the opportunity by the Make-a-Wish Foundation to visit the Nissan Design America in San Diego, California in 2014. Eryk wishes to become a car designer in the future and hopes to study at an Art College in Colorado or California.
